Hello. I'm in Shannon, Ireland, “liveblogging” my round-the-world migration to Edinburgh, Scotland.
There seems to be a bit of a snafu with my ticket; I missed my connection here and they updated my ticket for the next leg (Shannon–Dublin) but it seems they haven't updated the Dublin–Edinburgh leg, so I expect I'll miss that, too. The ticket agent asked, "Edinburgh, is it?" when checking my bag through, but somehow she didn't think to update my ticket. Probably this means my baggage will get lost if I don't do anything more. The Aer Lingus desk inside the departure lounge is not staffed at the moment, so I'll have to go back through security.
It is a curious fact that I can post this for thousands hundreds of friends and readers around the world, but I can't talk to a representative of the airline, without going out through security and back again.
Then again, if hundreds of your friends all pulled together to your aid, we'd still be powerless to help you with your bags.
But if what you turned out to need was a pirated copy of some recently issued MP3, or groceries delivered to some address in the US, or an e-card, or something we'd be there for ya in a second.
Well, as it turned out, there was a red telephone which allowed me to get in touch with the Aer Lingus people. See the Dublin report.
Anyway, thanks for the vote of confidence and the offer of US groceries. The adventure continues...
Howdy, I sow Your link at one page and I want to say only - i agree with You and dont forget keep up the good working!
