We Were Sharing Stories Like Children/  /April 18, 2004

Someone I knew was having a bonfire out on ocean beach, so I went. (Someone was Mojito from GNE, if that means anything to you). I brought salsa and chips.

I met a woman who works with disabled adults (who are themselves working) at the US Mint. The US Mint turns out to be located in the same building as the Safeway where I sometimes reluctantly shop.

Also met a woman who majored in math, did a year-long foreign study program in Japan during college, then went back to Japan to teach English for a year after graduating; now her job is with a non-profit organization that sends her to various elementary schools where she teaches algebra and calculus (summations, at least: 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 = ?) to fifth and sixth graders.

We were by the ocean and it was like being children, sharing stories and laughing.

Houston always was Clemens' most logical choice. He can stay home and follow his own program, remain in the same organization as his son, Class A third baseman Koby Clemens http://mike-18.blogspot.com/
