In this one, a puppy tied into a mess of helium balloons landed gently on one of the many roofs of my present apartment, whose sprawling outdoor staircase affords many views. We looked up and another one floated past overhead. Climbing the stairs again we saw in a neighboring yard that a dozen or two pets were being tied up or encapsulated in balloon bundles and set aloft. That was all.
I discovered this dream only after waking, because it was buried under another (more personal) dream which had followed it. On awaking I set to recording the latter dream and only in so doing did the memory of the previous one appear like a glint of bone beneath my scrabbling hands. Which is to say: record your dreams, you don't know what you might find.
Houston always was Clemens' most logical choice. He can stay home and follow his own program, remain in the same organization as his son, Class A third baseman Koby Clemens http://mike-18.blogspot.com/
The Astros have been in even worse shape, using three starters with less than two years of major-league experience. Signing Clemens to go with right-hander Roy Oswalt and left-hander Andy Pettitte again gives them a legitimate Big Three once again. If Clemens, after several minor-league tuneups, proves anywhere near as good as he was last season, he will give the team precisely the lift it needs.
