Just after midnight, Cibo Matto (!) (?) appeared to sing, in exquisitely-pronounced English, over an "ooh. ah. ooh. ah." backing track, "The Candy Man." Yes, that's the Mr. Davis, Jr. creation (*). Apparently, she plans to cover me, the undifferentiated listener, with "Cho-co-late" (Yes! All three syllables! Including an "L" sound!) and "Me-roo-koo too" (No! No "L" sound! Yes! An extra "Ooh" sound.)

If it weren't for KEXP, would I love this city?.
